Ciara has been confirmed as the headline performer for TikTok’s inaugural TikTok Awards, set to take place in Los Angeles. The TikTok Awards will be held on 18 December at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. The ceremony will stream live on TikTok, allowing global access for users on the platform.
About the TikTok Awards
The awards have been positioned as an effort to formally acknowledge creators who have shaped culture on TikTok. The platform has grown into a central hub for music discovery, short-form storytelling, and viral performance content. TikTok’s awards format aims to reflect the influence of creators whose work circulates primarily through digital engagement rather than traditional media exposure.
Ciara Reacts to the Announcement
Ciara spoke about the announcement in a statement released with the event details. “There’s nothing like performing for a community that loves movement, music, and expression as much as I do,” she said. “The TikTok platform plays a significant role in entertainment. It is one of the most influential platforms in the world.” She added that she was honoured to perform at the first US edition of the awards.
TikTok and Instagram Expand Creator Recognition
TikTok also confirmed a list of presenters drawn from its creator community, including Tan France, Tefi Pessoa, Patrick Starrr, REI AMI, Justin Danger, Carter Gregory, and Ashby Florence.
The TikTok Awards arrive amid wider industry moves by social media platforms to formalise creator recognition. Earlier this year, Instagram introduced a separate awards initiative titled Instagram Rings, aimed at celebrating leading creators on its platform.
