The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has named A$AP Rocky the recipient of the 2025 Fashion Icon Award. The award recognizes his influence on menswear and his fusion of hip-hop culture with luxury fashion.
A$AP Rocky will be celebrated at the CFDA Fashion Awards ceremony on November 3, 2025, which will take place at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
CFDA Chairman Thom Browne acknowledged A$AP Rocky’s “truly original approach to fashion” and its inspirational power on the fashion industry. Over the past decade, A$AP Rocky’s fashion progressed from streetwear to luxury fashion.
A$AP Rocky’s creative agency AWGE, founded in 2014, has established itself as a major force in high fashion, first showing at Paris Men’s Fashion Week in 2024 and returning with a second collection in 2025.
A$AP Rocky was in 2025 named Ray-Ban’s first-ever Creative Director, where he redefined the Mega Icons collection. His ongoing partnership with PUMA resulted in the Fall/Winter 2025 collection, “Built on Jazz in the Concrete Jungle.” A$AP Rocky teamed up with Moncler Genius for a capsule collection blending urban aesthetics with high-end outerwear. A$AP Rocky’s portfolio features campaigns for luxury fashion brands such as Gucci, Dior, and Bottega Veneta. He also co-chaired the 2025 Met Gala, wearing a custom AWGE suit. The CFDA Fashion Icon award recognizes both his personal impact and AWGE’s impact on music, fashion, and visual arts.
