The nominations for the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards have been announced. The awards will take place on 26 March 2026 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The show will broadcast live across iHeartRadio platforms.
Taylor Swift Leads Nominations List
Taylor Swift is the most nominated act this year, earning nine nominations across multiple categories. Her nominations included Artiste of the Year and Song of the Year for “The Fate of Ophelia.”
Sabrina Carpenter, Bad Bunny, and Alex Warren follow closely with eight nominations each. Other artistes receiving multiple nominations included Doechii, Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Leon Thomas, and Shaboozey.
New Fan-Voted Categories Introduced
The 2026 awards introduce new fan-voted categories aimed at expanding audience participation. These included Favourite TikTok Dance, Favourite Debut Album, and Favourite K-Pop Collaboration. Touring-related categories also return.
iHeartMedia Executives Explain Nomination Process
John Sykes, President of Entertainment Enterprises at iHeartMedia, said in a statement,
“An awards show made exclusively for fans, celebrating the songs and artistes they loved listening to all year.”
He explained that the nominations are driven by radio airplay and listener activity across iHeartRadio platforms.
Tom Poleman, Chief Programming Officer at iHeartMedia, noted that,
“The iHeartRadio Music Awards reflect what listeners are choosing to hear across our stations and platform.”
Voting for fan-determined categories opened on 8 January and will close on 19 March 2026.
