During the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina, Snoop Dogg turned a payment hiccup into a notable act of generosity.
The rapper was serving as an NBC correspondent and honorary Team USA coach in Livigno when the incident occurred.
Restaurant Allows Meal Despite Card Decline
While in the mountain town, Snoop ordered takeaway from Cronox, a family-run restaurant owned by Sofia Valmadre’s family.
At checkout, his credit card was declined, reportedly due to an international payment glitch or fraud alert. The restaurant owners reassured him and allowed him to take the meal without payment.
Valmadre later said her mother told Snoop not to worry and that it was fine to take the food.
Snoop Returns With Generous Surprise
The following day, Snoop returned to settle the bill in full. He also surprised the family with five tickets to the men’s snowboard halfpipe final at the Games.
The tickets allowed the family, including the children, to attend one of the event’s headline competitions.
Valmadre described the gesture as an unexpected surprise after what had begun as a routine transaction.
