Qing Madi has shared insights into her sound, personal growth, and future ambitions within Nigerian music in an interview with HipTV. Reflecting on her artistry, she emphasised that authenticity and storytelling remain central to her creative identity and to where Nigerian music stands today.

“My sound shows authenticity,” she said, stressing that storytelling is an art form that must never be lost. According to her, it is a core element of Nigerian music that continues to be preserved, connecting the past with the present.

How Her Journey Has Shaped Her

Speaking on her journey in the industry, Qing Madi noted that her experiences have shaped her both creatively and personally. “It shaped me as a person,” she said, describing artistes as some of the coolest people. She placed particular emphasis on women in music, explaining how her journey has heightened her awareness of female representation within the industry.

Supporting Women In Music Spaces

Qing Madi explained that this awareness now influences how she navigates music spaces. She revealed that she consciously looks out for female artistes at shows and events, describing this mindset as a reflection of her personal growth.

I’m certain that when I attend shows, I look out for female artistes, because that is what has shaped me as a person, she said.

What Comes Next For Qing Madi

Looking ahead, Qing Madi revealed plans for the next phase of her career. She confirmed her intention to embark on an African tour in 2026 and release a new EP.

Qing Madi first gained widespread attention as a 16-year-old in 2022 with See Finish. Since then, she has released songs including Ole, American Love, Goosebumps, and Scumbag, cementing her position as one of Nigeria’s fast-rising music talents.
