Drake has been sued in the United States by two consumers of an online gambling platform, Stake.us, over alleged promotional activity. The class-action lawsuit was filed on 1 January 2026 in federal court in Virginia. The case also names online streamer Adin Ross and George Nguyen as defendants.
Legal Storm Over Online Gambling Promotion
The lawsuit centres on Stake.us, an online casino platform that allows users to place wagers and transfer funds within its system. Court filings state that Drake and Ross were associated with the platform through livestreams, promotional appearances, and giveaways. The plaintiffs allege that this activity encouraged user participation on the platform.
Plaintiffs Claim Financial Exposure From Platform Use
According to the filing, the plaintiffs, LaShawnna Ridley and Tiffany Hines, say they engaged with the platform after viewing promotional content linked to Drake and Ross. The lawsuit also claims they were exposed to financial risk resulting from their participation on the platform. The filing seeks monetary damages, restitution of alleged losses, civil penalties, and court orders restricting future promotional conduct.
Lawsuit Links Promotion To Streaming Activity
The legal filing further alleges that internal platform features allowed money transfers between user accounts. It claims those transfers were later linked to organised online activity involving music streaming. The lawsuit alleges that this activity affected streaming figures associated with Drake’s music catalogue.
Drake has previously been publicly associated with gambling through high-profile wagers and online promotion. He has also been named in earlier lawsuits linked to gambling promotion. These include cases filed in 2025 involving allegations connected to online gambling livestreams.
