Mauritanian Rapper Adviser Speaks on Nigerian Music Influence

Amadou Birane Mangane, professionally known as Adviser, is a leading Mauritanian rapper from Nouakchott, widely recognised for blending Peuhl (Fulani) traditions with modern hip-hop sounds.

At the 9th AFRIMA Awards in Lagos, 2026, Adviser won Best Male Artiste in Northern Africa, beating notable nominees including Amr Diab and El Grande Toto.

Adviser Opens Up on His Journey

In an interview with HipTV, Adviser spoke about his artistic journey, creative inspiration, and future ambitions.

He revealed that his sound is deeply influenced by his Fulani heritage, explaining:

“It is a mix of Fulani culture and modern music culture.”

Admiration for Nigerian Music

Adviser expressed strong admiration for Nigeria’s music industry and shared the artistes he hopes to collaborate with in the future. He mentioned Davido, Wizkid, Olamide, Shallipopi, and several others as his dream collaborators.

When asked what he enjoys outside of music, Adviser responded with excitement, stating that music is the only thing he truly loves.

African Music and Nigeria’s Global Impact

Speaking on the growth of African music, Adviser said the industry is currently in a strong position. He praised Nigerian artistes for their global influence, saying:

“I think the music of Africa is great right now. The Nigerian artistes are doing great; they make the music of Africa to be at the top.”

New Project and Upcoming Tours

Adviser also revealed that he is currently working on a new project, including a song he wrote while in Lagos. He expressed his love for Nigeria and his desire to achieve meaningful success with Nigerian collaborators.

“I wrote the song in Lagos, because I love the Nigerian people and I want to do great things with them, inshallah.”

He confirmed upcoming tours across Africa, France, Belgium, Mauritania, and other African countries. Adviser also reminded fans that his music is available on Spotify and YouTube.
