Popular social media personality Mandy Kiss has officially been unveiled as the Lagos State Anti-Drug Abuse Ambassador, a move that has sparked conversations across the entertainment space and beyond.
The announcement was made by the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mobolaji Ogunlende, who explained that Mandy Kiss was chosen because of her massive online influence and her ability to connect with young people on issues that matter.

According to the commissioner, drug abuse has become a serious problem in society, and the government is looking for creative ways to reach the youth.
“We cannot win this fight alone. We need voices that young people listen to, and Mandy Kiss has that influence. This is about transformation, not cancellation,” he said.
The appointment comes weeks after Mandy Kiss made headlines with a controversial claim about attempting a Guinness World Record involving intimacy with multiple men, a claim she later withdrew, saying it was only a stunt. The incident drew huge backlash online, with some critics even calling for her arrest.
Now, the Lagos State Government says it sees the viral moment as a chance for a turnaround, giving her a platform to use her voice for a positive cause.
Reacting to her new role, Mandy Kiss expressed excitement and gratitude, promising to use her influence to educate young Nigerians.
“This is more than just a title, it’s a responsibility. I’m ready to use my platform to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and encourage young people to make better choices,” she said.
The news has since divided opinions on social media, with some applauding the state’s decision to redirect her influence positively, while others question the choice.
One thing is certain though Mandy Kiss has once again managed to stay in the spotlight, but this time with a message that could impact lives.
