It was an evening of elegance, laughter, and heartfelt tributes as friends and family gathered to celebrate Bayo Adedeji, popularly known as Bayo Lion, at a private birthday dinner held at LYA Restaurant inside Elegushi Private Beach, Lagos.
The event, which took place on Thursday, October 30th, 2025, brought together friends and family,all there to honour the man widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most visionary entrepreneurs.
Bayo Lion, who currently serves as Group Chief Executive Officer of Wakanow Group, has built a reputation for transforming Africa’s travel, tourism, and hospitality landscape. From his early years at Amazon in the United States to leading one of Africa’s largest travel tech companies, Bayo has continued to champion innovation and excellence across industries.
Beyond business, the celebrant is also a driving force in Nigeria’s leisure and entertainment sector co-founding BigLion Pictures, a YouTube-based production platform focused on premium Nollywood storytelling, alongside filmmaker Samuel “Bigsam” Olatunji.
