The Grand National Tour, co-headlined by rappers Kendrick Lamar and SZA, has officially become the highest-grossing hip-hop tour in history.
Final figures released by Billboard Boxscore confirm the 47-show run generated $332.1 million in total revenue from 1.5 million tickets sold globally.
The tour, which concluded in Sydney, Australia, surpasses previous records set by tours from artistes including Travis Scott and Eminem. This milestone establishes Lamar as the first rapper to headline multiple tours ranked in the top five highest-grossing hip-hop engagements of all time.
The tour launched on April 19, 2025, in Minneapolis, immediately setting an initial benchmark by grossing $9.1 million from the U.S. Bank Stadium show. This marked the highest single-concert revenue ever recorded for a rap performance. Subsequent stops continued to break venue records, including a $14.8 million haul at Lumen Field in Seattle. The North American leg alone amassed $256.4 million from 23 dates.
The tour supported Lamar’s sixth studio album “GNX” and SZA’s deluxe reissue “Lana”.
Lamar stated during an interview: “This isn’t just about numbers—it’s about connecting with people on a level that resonates worldwide.”
SZA reflected on the joint effort: “Sharing the stage with Kendrick has been transformative; we’ve built something that honors our roots while reaching new horizons”.
