The 83rd Golden Globe Awards took place on Sunday, 11 January 2026, at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. The ceremony recognised achievements in film and television from the past year. It also introduced a podcast category for the first time. Comedian Nikki Glaser hosted the event for the second straight year. Awards were presented across drama, comedy, animation, and creative fields.
Film Category Winners
Hamnet won Best Motion Picture Drama. One Battle After Another won Best Motion Picture Musical Comedy. The Secret Agent received Best Non-English Language Motion Picture. KPop Demon Hunters won Best Animated Feature Film. Wagner Moura won Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture “Drama for The Secret Agent”. Jessie Buckley won Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture “Drama for Hamnet”. Timothée Chalamet won Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for Marty Supreme. Rose Byrne won Best Actress in the same category for If I Had Legs I’d Kick You.
Directing, Music, And Special Awards
Stellan Skarsgård won Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for Sentimental Value. Teyana Taylor won Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for One Battle After Another. Creative honours followed the same production. Paul Thomas Anderson won Best Director and Best Screenplay for One Battle After Another. Ludwig Göransson received Best Original Score for Sinners. “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters won Best Original Song. Sinners also received the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award.
Television Series And Acting Winners
Television awards recognised The Pitt as Best Drama Series and The Studio as Best Comedy Series. Adolescence won Best Limited Series. Acting honours went to Noah Wyle for The Pitt, Rhea Seehorn for Pluribus, Seth Rogen for The Studio, and Jean Smart for Hacks. Adolescence also secured supporting acting awards and limited series acting honours.
