Charles Okocha Explains Elumelu Song And Street Madness

Nollywood actor and entertainer Charles Okocha has outlined his current path across music, film, and digital platforms as he continues to expand beyond screen roles into music releases and live streaming.

Inspiration Behind Elumelu

Speaking with HipTV, Okocha explained the inspiration behind his song Elumelu, which he dedicated to billionaire businessman Tony Elumelu.

“The reason I brought out that song is because Tony Elumelu is a legend, he is my mentor. This man is a great man, I love everything about him, he might not know, but then again I chose to put the song out to show him,” he said.

Clarifying the “Street Madness” Persona

Okocha addressed the “Street Madness” image that defines many of his screen appearances, clarifying that it does not reflect his everyday behaviour.

“I have my moments when I don’t get crazy,” he said, adding, “so when you watch me you will know.”

Expanding Across Entertainment Platforms

The actor described himself as an all-round entertainer working across film, music, skits, and digital content. He also confirmed his recent entry into Twitch, explaining that the platform currently serves as a space for casual interaction rather than a full career shift.

Film And Music Plans

Okocha provided updates on his upcoming film and music projects. According to him, the project is a new version of Igwe 2Pac, a film linked to his early career.

“I have my movie Igwe 2Pac that I was featured sometime in 2000. That is the movie that actually brought me out. The project is still in the works,” he said.

The multi-talented entertainer also confirmed plans to release new music singles.
