NBA YoungBoy has explained the meaning behind his album title Make America Slime Again following his recognition as Best Rapper of 2025 by Complex magazine.
Political Meaning Behind The Title
The rapper said the title reflects his support for the direction of US President Donald Trump.
“Follow whatever Trump applying,” he said. “In every way. Enforce whatever Trump’s applying. That’s it.”
He declined to answer further questions regarding any personal relationship with Trump.
Previous Political References
The remarks follow earlier political references in his music. In July 2025, YoungBoy released the song “XXX,” which included the lyric:
“Whatever Trump doin’, it’s good for the youngins (All Hail Trump).”
Career Developments
NBA YoungBoy recently launched a production company named 38 Films, which will debut with a documentary centred on his life and career.
The comments followed the release of his ninth studio album, Slime Cry, on 16 January. He was also named the most certified rapper in history by the RIAA.
