Angola and Zimbabwe shared the points in a 1–1 Group B encounter at the Africa Cup of Nations on Friday in Marrakech, keeping both sides in contention for a knockout place.
Zimbabwe struck first against the run of play in the 19th minute. Prince Dube met a low cross and finished from close range to give the Warriors an early advantage.
Angola hit back before the break. Veteran winger Dominguez, making history as the oldest outfield player in AFCON at 42 years and one month, calmly slotted home in the 38th minute to level the score.
Both teams pushed for a winner after halftime, creating half-chances at either end. However, Zimbabwe defended resolutely, while Angola lacked a decisive final touch in the closing stages.
Group Standings
The draw leaves Angola and Zimbabwe level on points in Group B. Egypt has already secured qualification, while South Africa sits top on goal difference. Both sides will look to strengthen their chances in the remaining group matches.
