City FM has unveiled the 10th edition of its annual gospel concert, Praise in the City, tagged “Hosanna”. The unveiling took place at a press conference held on December 17 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
Press Conference Highlights
The press conference opened with goodwill messages from guests. They shared personal experiences from previous editions of Praise in the City and spoke on their expectations for the 10th edition. The speakers also commended the convener, Mrs Adedoja Allen, for her sustained efforts over the years.
Music ministers present at the event included Tope Alabi, Lilian Nneji, Chika Ezegbo, also known as Chika 100%, Minister Tinuade, and DJ Gosporella, among others.
Convener Speaks on Praise in the City
In an exclusive interview with HipTV, the convener of Praise in the City and MD and CEO of City FM, Mrs. Adedoja Allen, explained the purpose of the press conference. She expressed gratitude for the success recorded across all editions, leading up to the 10th edition scheduled for December 26, 2025.
Mrs. Allen described the journey so far as a “glorious” experience. She noted that funding has remained a challenge but added that the team has always found a way to pull through. She also encouraged the public to attend in large numbers, stressing that the concert remains a free praise event.
Tope Alabi and Other Gospel Artistes Praise Organisers
Gospel minister and music composer Tope Alabi praised the organisers for their consistency over the years. She highlighted the significance of hosting such a large-scale praise concert without charging attendees.
On her expectations for the 10th edition, Tope Alabi acknowledged the organisers’ commitment and expressed hope for “a better stage, better equipment and musical instruments.”
Gospel singer Lilian Nneji also commended the organisers for sustaining the event for a decade. She spoke on the impact of Praise in the City on attendees and shared her expectations for the 10th edition.
Gospel artiste Chika Ezegbo, popularly known as Chika 100%, described the 10-year run of Praise in the City as “a great milestone”. He further shared his expectations for attendees and urged the public to be part of the event, citing the benefits awaiting those present.
