Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia has asked the public to stay calm after videos of domestic disputes surfaced on the internet.
The clips involving his alleged UK arrest and marital dispute with Natasha Osawaru surfaced
2Baba’s former manager, Kaka Igbokwe, who spoke during Daddy Freeze’s Instagram Live session, had alleged that the singer was briefly detained by UK authorities after a confrontation with his wife.
According to the former manager, the incident occurred at a London airport following a heated argument between the couple. He claimed that security operatives intervened, leading to 2Baba being taken into custody.
While footage of the incident has been widely shared, its full context and authenticity have not been officially verified by UK law enforcement. As of the time of this report, there has been no public confirmation from the police to substantiate claims of an arrest.
Earlier, 2Baba had denied similar reports, insisting that his absence from a scheduled UK appearance was due to a medical emergency and not the result of any domestic issue.
Amid the growing public concern, 2Baba has released a message clarifying that he was safe and urged the public to stop spreading alarming information. He dismissed an Instagram post in which he purportedly called for help as fake:
“The message asking for help on my Instagram was not from me. Please stop spreading unverified claims that put my loved ones, especially Natasha, at risk,” 2Baba said.
The situation also drew the attention of the Edo State House of Assembly, which summoned Natasha, a member, to appear before its Ethics and Privileges Committee. The Assembly said her behaviour in the clip was inappropriate and harmed its reputation.
The unfolding drama has drawn responses from fellow celebrities, including singer Teni Entertainer, who shared a viral video declaring she’s “coming to save 2Baba.”
“…Baba, we are coming to save you from your husband’s house, sorry, wife’s hous,e” she said.
Similarly, comedian Nasboi penned an emotional open letter to 2Baba on Instagram, expressing heartbreak at seeing his childhood idol involved in marital dispute.
2Face continues to maintain that he is safe and has asked for privacy. He said in a video on his Instagram page:
“I am safe and request privacy as this matter unfolds.”
