Rihanna’s eighth studio album, “ANTI,” has become the first by a Black female artiste to chart for 500 weeks on the Billboard 200. This places the album among the longest-running records ever tracked.
The album debuted at No. 1 and is certified six times platinum by the RIAA. “ANTI” features the hit single “Work”, a collaboration with Drake that topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for nine weeks. The album received six Grammy nominations in 2017.
In reaction to this milestone, Rihanna, who has sold in excess of 250 million records, said on X: “God ain’t forget bout me!” She later added, “Grateful for the love that keeps giving.”
Rolling Stone ranked the album 230th on its 2020 list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time
