Kanye West’s 2007 album, “Graduation”, has surpassed 8 billion streams on Spotify. The album was officially announced as the most-streamed hip-hop album in the platform’s history. The third studio album by the artiste was originally released on September 11, 2007, under Roc-A-Fella Records and Def Jam Recordings.
The album currently maintains a high level of listener engagement, averaging 4.4 million daily streams. With exactly 8,009,262,105 streams recorded, “Graduation” stands as West’s most-streamed album and ranks No. 64 among Spotify’s all-time most-streamed albums overall.
Driving this milestone are several key tracks. Three singles—“Stronger” (featuring Daft Punk), “Good Life” (featuring T-Pain), and “Flashing Lights”- have each surpassed 1 billion streams. The track “Homecoming” is also approaching that mark with 940 million streams.
The album has shown sustained popularity, gaining over 1 billion streams in 2025 alone. This surge made “Graduation” the first release from the 2000s to reach that annual streaming milestone.
A Spotify representative acknowledged the achievement in a statement: “This achievement highlights ‘Graduation’s’ timeless influence and Kanye West’s pioneering vision.” The album’s continued daily performance currently outpaces many contemporary hip-hop releases.
