Nigerian Afrobeat artistes dominated international stages over the weekend with headline performances across major cities worldwide. From New York to Dubai and Salvador, their shows displayed the growing global power of Nigerian music. The weekend’s events highlighted Afrobeats’ increasing influence and commercial success abroad.

In New York City, Asake headlined the Red Bull Symphonic concert at Kings Theatre, performing orchestral versions of his popular hits. The event drew a large audience and featured surprise appearances by Wizkid, Gunna, Central Cee, Tiakola, and Friday. Asake also previewed a new song expected to feature on his forthcoming album.

Davido thrilled fans in Dubai at the Coca-Cola Arena during his 5IVE ALIVE world tour. The concert attracted a wide audience from across the Gulf region. His energetic performance reinforced the strong appeal of Afrobeat in the Middle East.

In the Dominican Republic, Olamide and Ruger headlined Afro Nation Punta Cana, delivering vibrant performances that gained widespread attention online. Their sets underlined the presence of Nigerian stars on global festival stages. Both artistes displayed confidence and stage mastery.

Tems also performed at AFROPUNK Brasil in Salvador, Bahia, celebrating African diasporic culture through music and performance. Meanwhile, Kizz Daniel entertained audiences in Stockholm, while BNXN performed at London’s Indigo at The O₂, extending Afrobeat’s European reach.

Emerging star Fave performed in Manchester, representing Nigeria’s next wave of talent. The weekend confirmed Afrobeat’s worldwide dominance as Nigerian artistes continued to carry the nation’s sound to global audiences.
