Zootopia 2 has become the highest-grossing film in the history of Walt Disney Animation Studios. The animated title closed the year with about $1.46 billion in worldwide earnings, placing it ahead of Frozen 2, which previously held the record with $1.45 billion.
The film’s performance was driven by steady results across domestic and international markets. Earnings in the United States and Canada reached about $333 million during its theatrical run. International markets contributed $1.13 billion to the total.
Global Box Office Performance
China delivered the largest share of international revenue, recording more than $560 million. Additional contributions came from France, Japan, South Korea, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
Record Status Within Disney Animation
Zootopia 2 became the fifth title from Walt Disney Animation Studios to cross the $1 billion mark worldwide. The film also ranked as the highest-grossing animated Motion Picture Association release outside the United States in 2025. Its performance placed it ahead of other animated films released within the same year.
