“Wizkid- Long Live Lagos” Documentary Set to Premiere On HBO

HBO will premiere the documentary “WIZKID: LONG LIVE LAGOS” on December 11, 2025, as part of its Music Box series. The film traces Wizkid’s journey from his early life in Lagos to becoming one of Africa’s most influential global artistes.

The documentary features interviews with key figures in Wizkid’s career, including his manager and partner Jada Pollock and Afrobeat legend Femi Anikulapo-Kuti, who provide insight into his creative process, ambition, and the cultural impact of his work.

It highlights his historic headline performance at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on July 29, 2023, where he became the first African artistes to headline the venue.

Beyond showcasing performances and career milestones, “Long Live Lagos” explores themes of identity, representation, and legacy, examining how Wizkid’s success has reshaped global perceptions of African music while celebrating Lagos as a thriving hub of creativity and culture.
