Vin Diesel has hinted that football star Cristiano Ronaldo could feature in the next Fast & Furious film. The actor and producer shared an Instagram photograph showing both men posing together.
Diesel stated that a role had been written for Ronaldo within the Fast & Furious storyline. He wrote, “Everyone asked, would he be in the Fast mythology… I gotta tell you, he is a real one. We wrote a role for him.” Universal Pictures has not yet issued an official casting announcement regarding Cristiano Ronaldo’s involvement in the film.
Speaking at Fuel Fest in June, Diesel revealed further details about the planned finale of the Fast & Furious series, scheduled for release in April 2027. He said he agreed to the date with Universal Studios under three conditions, including a return to Los Angeles and street racing culture.
The actor confirmed his intention to reunite his character Dominic Toretto with Brian O’Conner, the role originally played by the late Paul Walker. Walker died in a car accident in November 2013, with unfinished scenes in Fast & Furious 7 completed using CGI and his brothers as doubles.
The Fast & Furious franchise began with The Fast and the Furious in 2001, evolving into one of the highest-grossing series in history. Throughout its run, the franchise has featured action stars and sports figures, including John Cena, Dwayne Johnson, and celebrity cameos in supporting roles.
