Victor Wembanyama Leads Spurs to 121-106 Win Over Pistons

The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Detroit Pistons 121-106 on Thursday. Victor Wembanyama delivered a dominant all-around performance with 38 points, 16 rebounds and five blocks.

Spurs Continue Strong Run

The victory was the Spurs’ second straight and their 13th in the past 14 games. They seized control early, building a lead of as many as 19 points in the first half before taking a 71-55 advantage into the break.

Wembanyama scored 24 points before halftime while De’Aaron Fox added 22.

Key Performances for San Antonio

Fox finished with 29 points, while Julian Champagnie scored 16. Stephon Castle contributed 11 points and 12 assists.

Pistons Attempt Late Comeback

Detroit briefly threatened a comeback late in the third quarter when Cade Cunningham’s technical free throw cut the deficit to eight. But the Spurs pulled away again.

They stretched the lead to 105-90 after Dylan Harper made a dunk with 6:28 remaining.

Detroit’s Top Scorers

Cunningham led Detroit with 26 points and Isaiah Stewart added 18. Duncan Robinson and Tobias Harris scored 11 each, while Ronald Holland II and Javonte Green had 10 apiece.

The Pistons lost Ausar Thompson to a sprained right ankle in the first quarter.
