Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho came off the bench to fire in a composed left-foot finish in the 53rd minute and rescue a point for Chelsea against Qarabağ FK on Wednesday.
The London club had taken an early lead through teenager Estevão Willian in the 16th minute, but Qarabağ fought back. Leandro Andrade equalised in the 29th minute, and then Marko Janković converted a penalty awarded just before half-time when defender Jorrel Hato handled the ball.
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca made three halftime substitutions: Garnacho, Enzo Fernández, and Liam Delap, which helped turn the tide. Delap’s pass led to Garnacho’s goal.
The draw means both teams now sit on seven points after four group matches.
