Tyler, the Creator has been named Apple Music’s Artiste of the Year for 2025. The award recognizes the artiste’s global creative output, which accumulated over 4.5 billion minutes of listening time on the platform between November 2024 and October 2025.
Tyler’s 2025 projects include the October 2024 release of the album “CHROMAKOPIA”, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and topped Apple Music charts in 55 countries. Its successor, “DON’T TAP THE GLASS”, released in July, earned five Grammy nominations, including Best Rap Album.
In addition to his music output, Tyler headlined major festivals this year, including Lollapalooza and Governors Ball. He also curated his 11th annual Camp Flog Gnaw in Los Angeles and is scheduled to make a feature-film debut in Josh Safdie’s Marty Supreme.
The award includes a custom presentation featuring Apple’s silicon wafer suspended in glass and aluminum. Zane Lowe, Apple Music’s global creative director, stated:
“His creative risk-taking is only matched by the care he takes to present it, and he inspires his peers and fans now, just as he will continue to inspire generations to come.”
In a video statement shared on social media, Tyler reflected on the achievement and thanked his listeners. He stated: “To everyone who listens to my music, thank you. I appreciate you so much. To be this year’s Apple Music Artiste of the Year, it’s sick.”
