Tyler, the Creator is in the middle of a major controversy after some of his old tweets resurfaced online over the weekend.
The posts, written years ago during his early Odd Future days, showed the rapper using racist and anti-black language. The issue started after he liked a tweet that criticised white fans for not caring about black art, which made people revisit his past statements.
Soon after, screenshots of the old tweets began to spread widely on social media. Many noticed that Tyler has been deleting some of the posts, which led to more talk about his past and what kind of person he was back then.
The tweets have been called offensive by many, and people are watching to see if Tyler will make a public statement. So far, he has remained silent as the topic continues to trend.
This has also raised a larger discussion about how old online behaviour can come haunt public figures.
