The Game has announced a new mixtape collaboration with DJ Drama. The announcement came during a podcast interview with Big Boy on his 46th birthday, November 29.
The mixtape, titled “All Movies Need a Trailer”, is produced by Mike N Keys and is set to revive The Game’s 2005 “Gangsta Grillz” collaboration with DJ Drama. The rapper asserted that the project is intended as a return to authentic, storytelling rap. The mixtape is scheduled to be release on 5th December, 2025.
During the podcast with Big Boy, The Game described the current music scene as lacking depth: “It’s trash right now—too much flash, not enough substance.” He stressed the cultural need for authenticity, stating, “We need stories that hit the soul, like back in the Documentary days.”
The project will feature a track with Kanye West, marking the artistes’ first collaboration in several years. A key inclusion is this “key inclusion” different from the track is “Crack Music 2,” which will serve as a sequel to West’s 2005 production work for The Game. The rapper credited West’s encouragement in driving the project forward, stating that “Ye pushed me to finish this.”
The “Gangsta Grillz” mixtape is expected to precede his planned tenth studio album, “The Documentary 3.”
