Jannik Sinner capped a stunning week in Paris with a straight-sets victory over Félix Auger-Aliassime. The win saw him reclaim the world men’s number one ranking. The Italian triumphed 6-4, 7-6(4) to lift his first Masters 1000 title of the year.
Sinner delivered in style to become just the fourth player in Paris Masters history to win the tournament without dropping a set. His Paris conquest also marked his fifth title of 2025, thereby extending his indoor hardcourt winning streak to 26 matches.
“It’s huge, honestly. It was such an intense final here and we both knew what’s on the line,” Sinner said at his on-court interview. “Also him, he’s in a very tough and difficult spot, but from my side I’m extremely happy.”
“The past couple of months have been amazing. We’ve tried to work on things, trying to improve as a player. Seeing these kind of results makes me incredibly happy,” he added. “Another title this year, it has been an amazing year, no matter what comes now in Turin. I’m extremely happy.”
Despite strong crowd support for the underdog, Auger-Aliassime struggled to cope with Sinner’s relentless power and precision, especially in key moments of the match.
