Three-time African champions Nigeria will compete in a Four-Nation Invitational Tournament in Amman, Jordan, during next month’s FIFA men’s international window.
The competition will feature Nigeria national football team, Iran national football team, hosts Jordan national football team, and the Costa Rica national football team.
NFF Highlights Development Objectives
In a statement issued on Friday in Abuja, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Director of Communications Ademola Olajire said the tournament aligns with the federation’s technical development plans.
“This tournament offers the Super Eagles quality opposition and valuable international experience,” Olajire said.
He added that facing teams from different confederations would enhance the squad’s tactical flexibility and depth ahead of major competitions.
“Playing against diverse footballing styles will strengthen our tactical adaptability and squad depth,” he noted.
Match Schedule And Venues
Nigeria will open their campaign against Iran at the Amman International Stadium on March 27.
On the same day, Jordan will face Costa Rica at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium. Nigeria will then take on Jordan on March 31 at the Amman International Stadium, while Costa Rica will meet Iran at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium.
Organisers are expected to announce the official match schedule, including kick-off times, in the coming days.
