Summer Walker has announced the release of her third studio album, “Finally Over It”. The album will be released on November 14 on LVRN/Interscope Records.
She revealed the date in a six-minute YouTube video in the format of a lie detector test show.
The announcement confirms the final part of her successful “Over It” album series, which began
in 2019 when she released her first.
The latest album follows her 2021 sophomore album, “Still Over It”, a colossal commercial success. “Still Over It” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with 166,000 equivalent units in its first week. It was the first R&B female artiste to top the chart in over five years.
Her 2019 release, “Over It”, was a commercial success and received critical acclaim. The album debuted at number one on the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and also reached number two on the US Billboard 200 chart. “Over It” showcased Summer Walker’s soulful voice and introspective songwriting, with many tracks addressing themes of heartbreak, relationships, and empowerment. The album featured a mix of R&B and hip-hop and included collaborations with artistes like Bryson Tiller, Jhené Aiko, and PartyNextDoor.
The album’s lead single, “Playing Games”, was a breakout hit, reaching the top 20 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and earning a platinum certification from the Recording Association of America (RIAA).
