Snoop Dogg has arrived in Italy to take part in the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympic Games. The legendary rapper will serve as Team USA’s first-ever honorary coach and also work as a special correspondent for NBC during the 16-day event.
Zamboni Entrance Steals The Spotlight
Snoop made a memorable entrance by ghost riding a Zamboni at the Milano Ice Skating Arena. He wore a full-length white winter coat over a red tracksuit, bringing his trademark style and flair to the ice.
In a social media post, he wrote, “We here,” alongside an ice cube emoji. NBC highlighted the moment, saying, “Snoop Dogg is riding into the #WinterOlympics in style.”
Meeting With Figure Skating Star Ilia Malinin
During the Games, Snoop met Team USA figure skater Ilia Malinin, popularly known as the “Quad God.” Malinin, a two-time world champion and the only skater to land a quadruple Axel in competition, performed a spinning jump and backflip for the rapper.
In a video shared by NBC Sports, Malinin said, “Dude, I’m speechless right now, honestly. I have a crazy legend in front of me.” Snoop responded by praising the skater, saying, “You a legend, man! You’re going for a gold medal,” as he filmed the performance.
NBC Role And Olympic Coverage
Snoop’s involvement extends beyond the rink. He will explore Italian landmarks and culture while hosting a segment titled “Snoop’s Greatest Hits” during the Games.
His Olympic return follows his appearance at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, where he served as a torchbearer and delivered energetic commentary that captured global attention.
Milano Cortina 2026 Dates Confirmed
The Winter Olympics opening ceremony is scheduled to take place at San Siro Stadium in Milan, with the Games running from 6 February to 22 February 2026.
