Shoday has officially released his first studio album, HYBRID. The project features 14 tracks and includes collaborations with FOLA, Kizz Daniel, Olivetheboy, and Ayo Maff. It was released under 5K Records Limited in partnership with Sony Music UK.
Hit Singles Lead Album Rollout
The album follows the success of lead singles, including “Paparazzi” featuring FOLA, which topped the Official Nigeria Top 100 chart and has surpassed 10 million streams on Spotify.
Other standout tracks on the album include Kilode, an energetic street anthem, as well as A1, Screaming Beauty, and Casablanca.
Shoday Reflects On His Musical Journey
Shoday described HYBRID as the culmination of his journey from small beginnings, explaining that the project captures both his personal and artistic evolution.
According to Shoday:
“From freestyles and small rooms to this moment right here… This journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been real.”
He added that the album represents his rawest form, reflecting his roots, growth, culture, and evolution. Every song carries a piece of his story, and he expressed gratitude to his family, team, collaborators, producers, writers, creatives, and fans who have supported him from the start.
Shoday described the project as more than an album, calling it “a statement, and a beginning.”
Sound And Artistic Direction
HYBRID blends street-pop, Afrobeat, and R&B, showcasing Shoday’s versatility across genres and moods. The album reflects his artistic growth since his 2024 EP, BRKFST, while highlighting his ability to merge personal storytelling with contemporary Nigerian music trends.
Global Momentum And Availability
The album rollout follows Shoday’s recent collaborations, including work with American artistes and British rapper Pozer, further establishing his presence in the global music scene.
