Shai Boy Brings “Live In Lagos” Home Debut

It was a lively night of music and celebration as US-based Shaiboy staged his debut Nigerian concert in Lagos. The event, titled “Shaiboy Live in Lagos”, was held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Above Lifestyle, Lekki.

During his headline set, Shaiboy performed Afrobeats tracks, including “Yebo, Reckless, and Ole”, as well as other songs from his catalogue.

Several other performances took place throughout the night, featuring Sas Monak, The Fake Poco, Peter Brown, Kobiro, and other supporting acts.

Speaking with HipTV, Shaiboy expressed excitement about performing in Nigeria for the first time. “I feel very happy and excited to be back in Nigeria. Tonight was amazing for me,” he said. He also spoke about the audience turnout and future plans. “This is my first time performing in Nigeria and Lagos, and the turnout surprised me,” Shaiboy added. He confirmed new music, an EP, and a tour planned for 2026.

Special guest Juma Bee praised Shaiboy’s journey and personal achievements during the event. “I respect Shaiboy a lot. I first watched him perform in the United States,” he said. Juma Bee also highlighted broader representation, saying, “People have wrong notions about albinos, but this guy is actually a medical doctor.”

Host MC Mbakara said the event was organised to support Shaiboy and promote inclusion. “I am happy with the turnout tonight, and I am here to support him,” he stated.
