Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has been honoured with The Sun Newspaper Man of the Year 2025 Award in recognition of his outstanding legislative achievements and national impact.
Senator Yayi represents the Ogun West Senatorial District and currently serves as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations. The award acknowledges his influence in governance, constituency development, and public service delivery.
Award Ceremony and Presentation
At the ceremony, supporters of Senator Yayi arrived clad in white and yellow traditional outfits, proudly representing #TeamYayi as they gathered to celebrate his Man of the Year honor.
As the event progressed, Senator Yayi was invited to the stage to receive the award. It was presented by Aremo Olusegun Osoba, CON, former Governor of Ogun State. He was accompanied by close friends and members of the Ogun State legislature, who joined him in celebration.

In his acceptance remarks, Senator Adeola dedicated the award to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, his national leader Aremo Olusegun Osoba, CON, Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, his constituents and supporters across Ogun State, and his wife, Temitope Adeola Solomon, whom he described as a pillar of unwavering support.
He also expressed appreciation to the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, and his colleagues in the National Assembly.
