Sauce Walka has pleaded guilty to evading arrest with a vehicle. The plea resolves charges stemming from a December 2023 incident where Walka was involved in a high-speed police pursuit that reached speeds of 130 miles per hour and ended in a crash.
The 35-year-old rapper accepted a plea agreement that includes two years of deferred adjudication probation. The terms of the probation mandate that Walka complete 50 hours of community service and donate $500 to the Houston Area Women’s Center. Violating the terms of the plea bargain could lead to a prison sentence ranging from two to ten years.
The plea deal was agreed one day after Judge Michele Oncken issued a bench warrant for Walka’s arrest after he failed to appear for his scheduled court hearing on October 15.
At the hearing, Judge Oncken reminded Walka of the need to pay attention to detail regarding court obligations. The artiste was released on a $35,000 bond.
In March 2025, Walka was injured in a targeted shooting in Memphis that resulted in the death of fellow rapper Sayso P. The suspected shooter, 21-year-old Jayden Dandridge, was later found shot to death. The death of Dandridge was ruled a homicide, and the investigation remains open.
