The Motherland Festival is a cultural initiative founded and organised by Discover Motherland Africa. It was created to promote African culture, tourism, and creative industries. The project is delivered in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, led by Minister Hannatu Musawa. It has the official endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Concert Highlights

A music concert was held on December 20, the third day of the festival. The wider Motherland Festival lineup across multiple days featured artistes such as Qing Madi, Shodey, Fola, Kene, Seyi Vibez, Odumodublvck, Loud Urban Choir, and others.

Artiste Speaks On What It Means To Perform In See Motherland

Speaking with HipTV, Qing Madi, who performed during the festival, described performing at Motherland as meaningful, noting that the platform celebrates African identity beyond music alone. Fola noted that the event felt organised and purposeful, while Kene highlighted the importance of sharing a stage linked to a national cultural project.
