Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has confirmed that 20-year-old forward Désiré Doué will be out for several weeks. The club said he suffered a right-thigh muscle lesion during the 1-1 Ligue 1 draw with FC Lorient.
Doué was substituted in the 62nd minute after pulling up mid-run. He was taken off the pitch on a stretcher. PSG’s medical team later confirmed the injury after scans.
Manager Luis Enrique described the injury as “strange.” He said further assessments would take place after the international break.
The setback comes just weeks after Doue’s return from a calf injury. That earlier issue had already ruled him out of six matches.
