PSG Beat Chelsea 3-0 to Reach UCL Next Round

Paris Saint-Germain ended the European campaign of Chelsea FC with a dominant 3-0 victory, sealing an 8-2 aggregate win in the UEFA Champions League.

Fast Start Seals Chelsea’s Fate

The contest was effectively over within 14 minutes.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia punished hesitant defending from Mamadou Sarr to open the scoring, before Bradley Barcola doubled the lead with a stunning half-volley.

Missed Chances and Costly Errors

Despite a flurry of attacks from Cole Palmer and Pedro Neto, individual errors, including a midfield turnover by Moises Caicedo, continued to haunt Chelsea.

Frustration Among Supporters

The atmosphere turned tense as home supporters chanted for former owner Roman Abramovich while voicing frustration toward the current ownership.

Late Goal and Injury Blow

Substitute Senny Mayulu added a late third goal, compounding Chelsea’s misery.

To make matters worse, defender Trevoh Chalobah was stretchered off with a high ankle sprain.

Post-Match Reactions

Head coach Liam Rosenior, who withdrew key players including Cole Palmer and Enzo Fernández early in the second half, acknowledged the disappointment.

“This was a difficult one to take because of the manner in which we went out.”

PSG head coach Luis Enrique praised his team’s performance after the match.

“I am very proud not just because of the result but also by the way that we played. We looked to gain confidence. When we can keep the ball and create space, it makes the match easier. It was the key. We showed that we are a real team, unpredictable.”
