Playboi Carti is facing legal trouble after being charged with minor assault during his tour stop in Utah earlier
this month.
A limousine driver identified as Carl Reynolds accused the rapper of attacking him while driving Carti and his
team from the Waldorf Astoria in Park City to rehearsals on October 2. Carti was in the city for his Antagonist
Tour at the time of the alleged incident.
Police documents reveal that the confrontation began when Carti and his girlfriend reportedly argued in the
back seat of the limousine. Carl claimed that after he tried to intervene, Carti threatened to harm both him
and his partner.
The driver told officers that he saw the woman hunched over and holding her chest, though he did not
witness Carti striking her. Carl said he then pulled over to a safer spot on the highway and urged the rapper’s
security team to separate them.
Carl further alleged that Carti suddenly punched him in the face as his girlfriend exited the vehicle, causing a
swollen jaw and neck pain. The altercation was reportedly stopped by Carti’s head of security.
Police confirmed that they responded to the scene, took photographs of Carl’s injuries, and began an
investigation. Authorities later cited Carti for assaulting the limousine driver.
