“One Battle After Another” emerged as the biggest winner at the 79th British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) 2026, taking home the prestigious Best Film award.
The ceremony was held on 22 February at London’s Royal Festival Hall, bringing together actors, directors, and industry leaders from across the globe to celebrate excellence in international cinema.

Beyond Best Film, One Battle After Another secured several major honours, including:
- Best Director for Paul Thomas Anderson
- Best Editing
- Best Adapted Screenplay
- Best Cinematography
Sinners and Other Major Winners
“Sinners” earned Best Original Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress for Wunmi Mosaku. The film also won Best Original Score and Best Sound.
Reacting to her win, Mosaku stated:
“This recognition honours not only my performance but the incredible team behind this story.”
The Outstanding British Film award went to Hamnet.

Robert Aramayo received the EE Rising Star Award.
