Nicki Minaj says she’s entering her “Billionaire Barbie” era and has confirmed plans to release her next studio album in 2026.
Over the weekend, Minaj posted on X that she intends to release her sixth studio album on 27 March 2026. She also hinted that another album could arrive later in the same year.
In her post, Minaj wrote that “I could put out an album tomorrow and still revolutionize the industry yet again on 3.27.26,” she wrote. “And then turn around and still release another blockbuster 4th quarter of 26.” She added that NM6 would be released for fans who attended her #GagCity event.
Minaj also teased documentaries and audiobooks as part of her plans for the coming year. She introduced herself online as “Billionaire Barbie” on Saturday, 18 October. According to CEO Today, her net worth is estimated at $190.5 million, making her the richest female rapper.
Her post followed a recent outburst in which she threatened to cancel her upcoming album while blaming Jay-Z and continuing her feud with Roc Nation. She wrote that “They came BEGGING the QUEEN for a tour & album & I said NOPE!!!!!”
Her last project, Pink Friday 2, was released in December 2023 and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with 228,000 album-equivalent units.
