Lionel Messi has won the 2025 MLS Golden Boot.
He finished the regular season with 29 goals, ahead ofDenis Bouanga and Sam Surridge who each had 24. Messi also contributed 19 assists, bringing his total goal contributions to 48.
Messi’s outstanding performance included 28 of his 29 goals scored from the penalty spot, the most penalty goals in a single season in MLS history. He also became the first MLS player ever to record 10 multi-goal games in a season.
With the regular season settled, Inter Miami now focus on the 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs. Their first game in the Eastern Conference Round One best-of-3 series is slated against Nashville SC.
