Mariah Carey has confirmed that she will perform at the opening ceremony of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. The announcement was made on Monday, 15 December 2025, through a video shared on official Olympic social media platforms and Carey’s account.
In the video, Carey, clad in a red gown and diamond necklace, said, “Ciao. Get ready for Milano Cortina 2026,” before confirming her appearance at the Olympic opening ceremony.
“See you at the Stadio San Siro on the sixth of February for the Olympic opening ceremony.” She ended the message by saying, “Ci vediamo a Milano,” which translates to “See you in Milan” in English.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics will run from 6 February to 22 February. Competitions will be staged in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, featuring sports including skiing, snowboarding, and figure skating.
The announcement arrives during Carey’s annual holiday chart season, with “All I Want for Christmas Is You” leading charts. The song has spent nineteen non-consecutive weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 as of December 2025.
