Lakers Dominate Early at Barclays Center
The Los Angeles Lakers took charge early and cruised to a 125–109 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night. LeBron James scored 25 points and handed out seven assists as the Lakers wrapped up an eight-game road trip in emphatic fashion, leading almost from start to finish at Barclays Center.
LeBron James Leads the Way
James was efficient and dominant throughout the night. He made 10 of 16 shots and threw down two powerful dunks in the first half. He also recorded three rebounds and accounted for three of the Lakers’ 14 steals.
Late in the game, chants of “We want Bronny” echoed around the arena, and James’ son delivered. Bronny James scored twice in the final 4:36, drawing cheers from the partisan crowd.
Strong Support Cast for Los Angeles
Luka Dončić added 24 points, five assists, and six rebounds in just 29 minutes before sitting out the fourth quarter. Jake LaRavia chipped in 18 points, while Austin Reaves scored 15 points in his return after missing 19 games with a sprained left ankle.
The Lakers shot 54.1 percent from the field and dominated the paint, scoring 66 points inside.
Lakers Blow Game Open Early
Los Angeles seized control early, hitting their first seven shots to race into the lead. They surged to a 45–23 advantage after the first quarter, with Dončić pouring in 14 points.
The gap widened to 69–40 by halftime, and the Lakers eventually led by as many as 39 points, putting the result beyond doubt.
Nets Struggle at Both Ends
Michael Porter Jr. led Brooklyn with 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Day’Ron Sharpe added 19 points and 14 boards. Brooklyn lost for the 17th time in 20 games and only led during the opening two minutes.
The Nets struggled from long range, missing 31 of 41 three-point attempts, and committed 20 turnovers, which the Lakers converted into 23 points.
