UK Council Criticises Kanye West Wireless Booking

The Jewish Leadership Council has criticised the decision to book Kanye West for a three-night headline performance. The Wireless Festival booking was described as “deeply irresponsible” by the Jewish Leadership Council.

Wireless Festival 2026 Details

The festival is scheduled to take place from July 10 to July 12 at Finsbury Park in London. Organisers confirmed that West would headline all three nights, marking his first major UK performance in over a decade.

Concerns Over Past Controversies

According to the council, the decision raises concerns due to West’s history of antisemitic remarks and controversies. In its statement, the group said the booking is “deeply irresponsible,” warning that it comes at a time when Jewish communities in the United Kingdom are experiencing heightened concern over antisemitism.

Festival Organisers’ Position

Festival organisers have promoted West’s appearance as part of a major return to live performance, linked to new music projects.

West has previously issued public apologies for past statements, though criticism has continued.

No Official Response Yet

The Wireless Festival has not publicly responded to the council’s remarks as of the time of reporting.
