J. Cole has revealed the tracklist for his upcoming album The Fall-Off, scheduled for release on 6 February 2026. The project is a double album featuring 24 tracks, split across two discs. Each disc contains 11 main tracks and one bonus track.
Disc 29 and Disc 39: Two Life Stages
The two discs are titled Disc 29 and Disc 39, reflecting distinct stages in Cole’s life and career.
Disc 29 follows Cole’s return to Fayetteville, North Carolina, at age 29, shortly after moving to New York and experiencing early success in music. Disc 39 revisits that same journey ten years later, capturing his perspective at 39, as a more mature artiste balancing family, music, and hometown ties.

Production Credits and Album Artwork
Dreamville co-founder Ibrahim “IB” Hamad, T-Minus, and Dreamville are credited as executive producers on the project.
The album’s back cover features posters of hip-hop legends who influenced Cole, including Nas and 50 Cent. The cover for the second disc prominently features Cole himself, symbolising his personal growth and deep involvement in the album’s creation.
J. Cole Explains the Album Concept
Cole explained the concept behind The Fall-Off in an Instagram post.
“The Fall-Off, a double album made with intentions to be my last, brings the concept of my first project full circle. Disc 29 tells a story of me returning to my hometown at age 29. Disc 39 gives insight into my mindset during a similar trip home, this time as a 39-year-old man. Older and a little closer to peace,” he wrote.

Ahead of the album release, Cole shared Disc 2 Track 2, a song that recounts his life in reverse order. He also released the Birthday Blizzard ’26 EP on 28 January, featuring four freestyles hosted by DJ Clue, keeping fans engaged in the lead-up to the album.
