Id Cabasa Reimagines ‘Unfinished Business’

Music producer ID Cabasa has released his third studio album, Unfinished Business, today, 5th December.

The 13-track project produced by ID Cabasa is a reinterpretation of classic songs. Most of these were performed by their original artistes, and a few were reinterpreted by new artistes. Only one song is an entirely new project. 

Tracks that keep the original artistes:

•  Bere Mi Reimagined originally performed by T.I Blaze and Zlatan (both retained)

•  Ise Ta Gba Reimagined originally performed by Pheelz (retained)

•  OK Reimagined originally performed by Olamide and Ayanfe (both retained)

•  Eni Duro Reimagined originally performed by Emini Kabex, Jaido P, Candy Bleakz, and Islambo (all retained)

•  Kpo Kpo Di Kpo Reimagined, originally performed by Genie and Jaya (both retained)

•  Opomulero Reimagined originally performed by Trod, Heengz, and Spidermanne (all retained) 

Tracks performed by new artistes:

•  Photocopy Reimagined  originally by 9ice, now performed by Vector

•  Make Dem Talk Reimagined  originally by Seriki, now performed by Magnito and Zoro

•  Anytime Reimagined originally by Ajebo Hustlers, now performed by Bella Shmurda, Ryo Maff, and Ajebo Hustlers

•  Olufunmi Reimagined originally by Styl-Plus, now performed by Fola, Shoday, and 9ice

• Street Credibility Reimagined, originally by 9ice, now performed by Darkoo, Dunnie, Liya, and Lade

The only original (non-remake) song on the album is “Alarfia”, performed by Barry Jhay.

Through Unfinished Business, ID Cabasa revisits classic Nigerian songs, updating their production while pairing them with contemporary artistes.

The album provides a bridge between past and present, offering listeners both familiar hits and fresh interpretations.
