Hotkid has reflected on his artistic journey, creative growth, and the message behind his latest album in an interview with HIPTV.
Hotkid describes his growth this year as both intentional and natural.
On his biggest creative evolution, he explained that it all comes down to sharpening his sound and staying true to himself.
“My sound, significantly, has grown, and you have to resonate with people. I just do me,” he said.
Despite the growing momentum around his career, Hotkid remains grounded. On whether he feels he deserves more recognition, he offered a thoughtful perspective:
“It’s all perceptions. I’m grateful… Life is a process.”
His latest project, the “Never Fold” album, has been praised for its refined direction and more mature sonic approach. According to Hotkid, the album carries a universal message of resilience.
“‘Never Fold’ shows that regardless of what you are going through in life, you don’t give up,” he explained.
On the subject of collaboration, Hotkid revealed the artistes who have had the most influence on his sound and creative journey. He pointed to those who have inspired him from the start.
“Zlatan and Olamide have a big impact on me,” he revealed, noting that their originality and work ethic strongly align with his artistic values.
“I have a deluxe coming soon. I envision myself taking on more difficult times; also, I will be coming to South Africa,” he said.
The singer also confirmed plans for international engagement as part of his upcoming rollout and a new project, adding:
“I will be coming to South Africa, the UK, and the US for the ‘Never Fold’ tour next year, and a Deluxe coming out in 2026.”
