The Memphis Grizzlies stormed back from a double-digit halftime deficit to defeat the visiting Utah Jazz 123-114 on Friday, snapping a four-game losing streak.
Olivier-Maxence Prosper led the way with 23 points, while GG Jackson added 20 as eight Memphis players scored in double figures to secure the comeback victory.
Balanced Effort Powers Memphis
Javon Small contributed 16 points, and Jaylen Wells finished with 13.
Lawson Lovering recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Cam Spencer added 10 points and 10 assists. Memphis, playing without several regulars including Ja Morant, recovered from a double-digit first-half deficit for the fourth time this season.
Jazz Control Early Stages
Utah, also short-handed, led 67-55 at halftime and stretched the margin to 12 early in the third quarter.
Isaiah Collier paced the Jazz with 24 points, while Kyle Filipowski and Ace Bailey scored 20 each. Blake Hinson chipped in 13 points in just his second NBA appearance.
Fourth-Quarter Surge Seals Win
Memphis closed the gap to 88-87 after three quarters before taking control with a 15-4 run to open the fourth.
Wells sparked the surge with a three-pointer, and Jackson followed with a layup to make it 102-92 with 8:37 remaining. Another Jackson basket pushed the lead to 16 midway through the period.
Utah mounted a late push, trimming the deficit to 119-114 after a Collier three-pointer and Bailey free throws with 17.1 seconds left. However, Small sealed the win with four consecutive free throws in the closing seconds.
