The Port Harcourt first-son, Duncan Mighty, is set to storm his hometown with a massive homecoming concert on 21 December at the Elekahia Stadium.
Speaking during an interview with Hip TV, he talks about how preparations are going and thanks God for everything. He also appreciates the state for the success of the planning and says he feels proud to bring the city together through music. “I want to say a big thank you to Port Harcourt,” he says, adding that “charity begins at home and making it successful means a lot to me.”
Duncan Mighty says the event will feature an impressive lineup of top stars including Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Davido, Flavour, and Timaya. He adds that beyond the performances, the concert will include giving back to the community, youth empowerment, and skill acquisition programmes. In his words, “The homecoming is to inspire the upcoming artist in the South-South and also coming back home to perform was what inspired me.”
The singer also reveals that he has a new song titled Be Happy, featuring Tiwa Savage, which will be released ahead of the concert. He says it is a good song and one that his fans will enjoy listening to.
Speaking about his recent appearance at Felabration, Duncan Mighty shares his joy about being part of the event. He says, “Felabration is iconic, iand I am grateful.
Addressing the state of the Nigerian music industry, Duncan Mighty notes that there are challenges but believes God has been with him through it all. He advises artistes to stay positive, adding that “there is no industry that doesn’t have any challenges.”
